In the existing Blådalsvassdraget system, in Kvinnherad, Norway.

Project Owner/s
Western Norway regional hydropower company Sunnhordland Kraftlag (SKL).

Project Description
The project will deliver one of the largest new hydropower plants built in Norway over the past 20 years.

The power plant will add 185 MW of regulated hydropower and generate an additional  70 GWh/y. Total installed capacity in the watercourse will increase to an estimated 550 MW, with production reaching about 1.7 TWh/y – equivalent to the electricity use of more than  100 000 households.
